Mr. Terry Hoffman is a security threat risk analyst, business impact, and emergency preparedness expert. Mr. Hoffman has achieved the designation of a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International. Only eleven-thousand professionals worldwide have earned the designation of CPP. This select group of professionals has demonstrated competency in the area of protecting people, property, and information assets with best-business practices through an intensive qualification and testing program. In addition, Terry is certified by Disaster Recovery International (D.R.I.) as an internationally recognized “Certified Business Continuity Professional” (CBCP). Terry Hoffman also possesses a postgraduate diploma from Georgian College, with honours, in the study of the new millennium type of crime “Cyberspace Security and Internet Law.” Mr. Hoffman has also achieved certification in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) from Peel Regional Police and is a licensed Security Consultant in the Province of British Columbia governed under the BC Security Services Act.

Since the events of September 11, 2001, Mr. Hoffman has been involved in developing and implementing an “Assets Protection Plan” for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at over twenty- five high risk United States of America International traffic and commercial border crossings from British Columbia to New Brunswick. Terry has been engaged by; Newfoundland Labrador Hydro, Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Hamilton Airport, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Oxford Properties, GO Transit, Edmonton Transit, Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Finance, Immigration Canada, SNC Lavalin Profac, Ontario Realty Corporation, Ministry of Government Services, Research in Motion, Telus, Rogers Communications, Woodbine Entertainment Group, Calgary Sports and Entertainment, OPEN TEXT, Salvation Army, VALE, Peel Regional Police Service and Barrie City Police Services and a number of other provincial and municipal government agencies, and police organizations.

Mr. Hoffman has provided his expertise and skills with many Ontario School Boards, Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities, such as the Simcoe County District School Board, Halton District School Board, Near North School Board, Near North School Board, Peel Regional District School Board, York Region School Board, Bishop Strachan School, Crescent School, Mohawk College, Humber College, Cambrian College, Lakefield College, Centennial College, York University, Queen’s University, and University of Guelph as an expert witness on risk management and physical technology. 

Mr. Hoffman is a regular contributor, and has been published several times, in the Canadian Security Magazine as an expert in Security Management practices. Terry has over 25 years of experience in the security and risk management industry and over 15 years of experience in project managing security audits and Threat Risk Assessments.  With multiple training certificates in electronic security design on a variety of numerous access control and closed-circuit TV systems, Mr. Terry Hoffman not only brings an operational experience to the table but is also unique in his ability to understand technical systems and how they should be utilized best to meet an enterprise’s overall security program objective.
